The healthcare insurance you take out with a healthcare insurer in the Netherlands may also offer good cover in your country of residence (only EU countries).
The E106 form
With the 'E106 form', you can show your country of residence that you have Dutch healthcare insurance and are as such entitled to reimbursement of the costs of medical care in accordance with the statutory insurance package of that country. Read more about E106 form
Want to include your family on the policy?
On the 'E106 form' you can also indicate the fact that family members are co-insured. In general, spouses and children up to a certain age are regarded as being co-insured as long as they do not have an independent right to insurance in their country of residence. Read more
Insured while on holiday
The HollandZorg health insurance card also serves as a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Co-insured family members can apply for this European Health Insurance Card. Read more about the European Health Insurance Card
