1. What is a MammaPrint?

The MammaPrint is a test that shows how aggressive a breast tumour is. A MammaPrint can help a medical specialist to decide whether chemotherapy is necessary once the tumour has been removed.

2. Prescription required

You will require a prescription from a medical specialist for a MammaPrint. The prescription must show that your medical specialist feels that the MammaPrint has added value in your situation in comparison with the current treatment guidelines. When submitting a claim for an invoice, include a copy of the prescription.

3. Reimbursement MammaPrint in 2019

Under our supplementary insurance, you qualify for reimbursement of the  MammaPrint.

4. No statutory personal contribution

There is no statutory personal contribution for the MammaPrint.

5. No policy excess

The costs of reimbursements under the supplementary insurance will not count towards the policy excess.

6. Who may provide this type of care?

A hospital may do the MammaPrint. Use our Care Guide to find a hospital near you. Have you decided to go to a care provider with whom we have not made any agreements? If so, the rates set out in the Rate List for Non-Contracted Care will apply. If the rates charged by the non-contracted care provider are higher than our maximum rates, the difference will be for your account.
