Note: the information on this page is a brief outline of the reimbursement. You can only derive rights from our insurance conditions (pdf).
Sterilisation is an intervention that renders someone infertile. Both men and women can be sterilised.
By virtue of the supplementary Top insurance, you are entitled to reimbursement of sterilisation:
|Public Healthcare Insurance||Reimbursement|
|HollandZorg public healthcare insurance||none|
100% in the case of contracted care.
Non-contracted care: a maximum of € 500 for the entire treatment.
|No Risk I||none|
|No Risk II||none|
If you are planning on going to a care provider with whom we have not concluded an agreement for sterilisation, the rates of the rate list for non-contracted care apply. If the rates of the non-contracted care provider are higher than our maximum rates, the difference will be for your expense.
Sterilisation is not subject to a statutory personal contribution.
The costs for reimbursements by virtue of the supplementary insurance do not count towards your excess.
For sterilisation, you can go to a (contracted) hospital and a contracted independent treatment center. Contracted care is care provided by a hospital or independent treatment center with which we have made arrangements especially for the performance of sterilisations. This does not include hospitals with which we have made general agreements for specialist medical care. General practitioners with whom we have made arrangements especially for the performance of sterilisations, are also permitted to provide the care. This does not include general practitioners with whom we have made general agreements. Our Care Guide helps you find a (contracted) care provider near you.
