Hospice care

Reimbursement
Hospice staff are nurses and carers offering nursing care. A lot of hospices also employ a physician. Hospice care is also provided at the hospice unit of a nursing home or hospital. In addition, you can also go to a Home from Home if you need hospice care. The difference with a hospice is that a Home from Home is run entirely by volunteers. The nursing care is provided by the home care agency, while the medical care is provided by the GP.

No excess
Your stay and care at a hospice or Home from Home is not subject to an excess.
Who can you go to?
If you need hospice care, you can go to a 'Bijna Thuis Huis', an independent hospice or the hospice unit of a nursing home or hospital.
