FAQ about HollandZorg supplementary and or dental insurance

HollandZorg has been specialising in health insurance for foreign employees for years now. In 2022 too, we will offer our policyholders transparent and affordable public healthcare insurance. The public healthcare insurance reimburses the most important care, such as a visit to the doctor, admission to hospital and emergency care.

We only offer public healthcare insurance for insured persons who take out health insurance with us after 1 January 2022. Insured persons who are already insured in 2020 will keep their current supplementary or dental insurance. We have listed the frequently asked questions and replies.

I want to keep my supplementary insurance and/or dental insurance, is that possible?

Yes, that's possible. Your supplementary and/or dental insurance will continue in 2022, because you already had them in 2020. You are therefore assured of certain care that is not covered by the public healthcare insurance. That gives you a bit of additional security. The conditions for several reimbursements have been adjusted. I want to change my supplementary insurance and/or dental insurance, is that possible?

From 2022, you can no longer change your supplementary and/or dental insurance with HollandZorg. You can, however, continue your current supplementary and/or dental insurance. If you wish to cancel the supplementary and/or dental insurance, please go to the 'My HollandZorg' online environment and notify us before 1 January 2022.

I still want to take out (different) supplementary and/or dental insurance. What can I do?

You can switch to ZorgDirect health insurance. ZorgDirect is the sister brand of HollandZorg. ZorgDirect offers public healthcare insurance with a wide choice of care providers and has five supplementary insurance policies and three dental insurance policies. For more information visit ZorgDirect!

Can I take out supplementary and/or dental insurance for my son/daughter?

Your son or daughter turns 18
If your son or daughter turns 18 in 2022, he/she may still be on your policy and retain the public healthcare insurance and the supplementary and/or dental insurance he/she already had. It is not possible for your son or daughter from 2022 onwards to choose another supplementary and/or dental insurance. However, he or she can cancel the supplementary and/or dental insurance. Your son or daughter have to pay premium and has a compulsory excess of € 385,-.

When your son or daughter turns 18, he or she can also take out their own healthcare insurance. Your son or daughter can take out HollandZorg public healthcare insurance with a supplementary and/or dental insurance if the insurance commences before January 1, 2022. If the insurance commences after 1 January 2022, he/she can only take out the HollandZorg public healthcare insurance.

You have had a baby
If you have had a baby in 2020, you can register him/her through My HollandZorg. If you do so before 1 January 2022, your child will automatically receive the supplementary and/or dental insurance of your policy or that of your co-insured partner.

If your baby will be born in 2022you can only take out the public healthcare insurance for him/her. You have to register him/her within four months after the birth through My HollandZorg. You do not have to pay a premium for children up to the age of 18.
