Registration for maternity care and maternity package
Don't wait too long with registering for maternity care. Please contact us before the fifth month of your pregnancy. Do you have Plus or Top as supplementary insurance? In that case, you can apply for a free maternity package when you register for maternity care. This package contains all you need for a home birth.
Apply for maternity care
Once you have registered for maternity care, the maternity care organisation will contact you for an intake interview by telephone or to make an appointment. If you are entitled to a maternity package, we will send you this around the 34th week of pregnancy.Which maternity care organisation?
We have made arrangements with a large number of maternity care organisations. For more information, please call our Customer Services on +31 (0)570 687 123. If you prefer a certain maternity care organisation, please let us know when you register. If you prefer a maternity care organisation with whom we have not concluded an agreement, we will apply a maximum reimbursement.
Reimbursements under Public Healthcare Insurance
By virtue of the Public Healthcare Insurance you are entitled to reimbursement of the costs of maternity care. The number of hours of maternity care are established by the care provider in consultation with the obstetrician and ourselves. The National Maternity Care Indication Protocol ('Landelijk Indicatieprotocol Kraamzorg') serves as the guiding principle for determining the number of hours and days. Maternity care is subject to a statutory personal contribution. If your statutory personal contribution is reimbursed by virtue of your supplementary insurance, you will in most cases not receive an invoice.
Purchasing a maternity package
If you have Start or Extra as supplementary insurance, you will not receive a free maternity package. However, you can purchase one and be fully prepared after all. Register your baby to be insured
We would love to see your baby insured with HollandZorg. Registering a birth is simple; just go to My HollandZorg and fill in the form. Be sure to register your child within four months of his or her birth!
