Sustainability at HollandZorg
We all dream of a climate that benefits both humans and animals, with economic growth without overburdening the earth. And, of course, good health and well-being for everyone. For now and for the future.
But dreams alone will not get us there. That is why HollandZorg is taking action. Below you will find the various areas in which we are committed to sustainability. Because only then will sustainable behaviour become the norm. And that is what we are striving for.
In 2015, no fewer than 193 world leaders agreed on 17 sustainable global goals. The aim? To make the world a better place to live by 2030. HollandZorg Health Insurance has chosen three goals to which we will contribute. These are:

Health & well-being
Healthy living is essential for sustainable development, according to the United Nations. As a health insurer, HollandZorg naturally supports this 100%! Did you know, for example, that:
- we have developed a flyer in 10 languages in collaboration with Pharos to help workers who are temporarily in the Netherlands find their way around the Dutch healthcare system?
- we are committed to promoting the mental and physical resilience of our insured persons by providing information on our website?
Climate action
Steps towards a better climate? Here's what we're doing:
- our building is equipped with 326 solar panels
- all our lighting is energy efficient
- our coffee cups are recycled
- we separate our waste
- our post is delivered by bicycle courier
- we encourage the use of electric lease cars
- In the future we will reduce our carbon footprint and energy consumption even further. We are also investigating the possibilities for circular working.
Green Deal for sustainable healthcare
HollandZorg Health Insurance is participating in the Green Deal for Sustainable Healthcare. By making agreements, we, along with many other healthcare institutions, governments and companies, are trying to combat the impact that healthcare has on environmental pollution. How?
