In that case, your country of residence is your country of origin.
Staying and working in the Netherlands
If you are just here to work for a Dutch employer, you are obliged to take out health insurance. This can be done through your employer, but you can also take out your own health insurance with a Dutch healthcare insurer. HollandZorg Public is a good choice in that respect. In addition to the compulsory public healthcare insurance, you can take out our supplementary HollandZorg Insurance for additional reimbursements.
Please note! If you take out a new HollandZorg public healthcare insurance that commences before 1 January 2023, you can still choose from supplementary (and/or dental) insurance. If the healthcare insurance commences after 1 January 2023, you can only take out the HollandZorg public healthcare insurance.
