Other medical care (e.g. GP care)
Other medical (GP) care is comparable to GP care. The Dutch Care Authority has defined treatment descriptions.
Other medical (GP) care includes:
- medical care within the framework of individual care for tuberculosis and infectious diseases
- cow’s milk allergy test (Double-blind Placebo-Controlled Food Challenge Test)
Other medical (GP) care does not cover preventive foot care. The cover for preventive foot care is set out elsewhere on this website.
Reimbursements
Under the HollandZorg public healthcare insurance, you qualify for other medical care (e.g. GP care).

Statutory personal contribution
There is no statutory personal contribution for artificial respiration.
Excess
The costs incurred for other medical care (e.g. GP care) dot not count towards your compulsory policy excess.
Who can provide this type of care?
The following care providers are permitted to provide this type of care:
- for medical care within the framework of individual care for tuberculosis and infectious diseases: a qualified and nationally registered doctor, whose criteria have been determined by the KNMG's Board of Registration's Medical Specialists register
- for cow’s milk allergy test (Double-blind Placebo-Controlled Food Challenge Test): a care provider contracted for this purpose by us.
Referral needed?
You need a referral from a general practitioner, nurse specialist, physician's assistant or medical specialist.

Maximum rates for a non-contracted care provider
Have you chosen a healthcare provider with whom we have no contract? Then, we will reimburse according to our maximum rates. If the rate invoiced by the non-contracted care provider is higher than our maximum rates, you will have to pay the difference yourself. You will be able to find contracted care providers with our Care finder.
