Childcare during hospital admission

Childcare during hospital admission is the care for your children when you are hospitalised. The childcare is provided by a children's centre or childminder agency.

Reimbursements

When do you qualify for reimbursement?

You are entitled to reimbursement of childcare from the 11th consecutive day of being hospitalised. You are hospitalised in order to receive care under the public health insurance. Your children must be younger than 12 and also be insured with HollandZorg.

The reimbursement only applies to childcare necessitated by your hospitalisation. The reimbursement does not apply for the number of hours of childcare which you would normally already have arranged.

Maximum rates for a non-contracted care provider

If, for care included in the public healthcare insurance, you choose a healthcare provider with whom we have not made any agreements, the rates in the Rate list for non-contracted care will apply. Do the rates charged by the non-contracted healthcare provider exceed our maximum rates? In that case, the difference will be payable by you. This will apply for reimbursement both under the public healthcare insurance, and the supplementary insurance.
